Quaker Goats and Horses began in 2008 with the acquisition of our first three myotonic or fainting goats. Since then, our herd has grown to around twenty-five goats, with more on the way. Check out our Playground to see our latest kids. Does and bucks are found in the Adults Only section. We enjoy the myotonic breed. They are gentle, easily tamed for pets, and fun. And yes, they do fall down or go stiff, but they aren't hurt by their fainting. They quickly learn how to stabilize themselves to avoid falling. Their tendency to faint means they aren't as hard to keep contained as most goats are, which makes them ideal for owners who also like to garden.
We also raise heritage chickens and horses. The chickens can be found in The Hen Pen, and the horses, mostly Paints or Arabians, can be seen in The Arena.
Mary Beth gardens extensively and raises flowers, vegetables, fruits, and berries, all organically. To contact us, click the Phone Home button. We'd love to hear from you!
